Islam Makhachev, the 34-year-old Russian currently holding the UFC lightweight title, has expressed his confidence that he can easily defeat any fighter in the 77 kg weight class (welterweight).
Idman.Biz reports that Makhachev currently has a 16-fight winning streak in the UFC.
"I can easily defeat any opponent in this weight class. I felt different in the fight with Jack. I am ready for any difficulty. The welterweight division is currently the strongest in the UFC, 100%," Makhachev told the UFC press service.
Overall, Makhachev has a record of 28 wins and one loss. He made his professional mixed martial arts debut in 2010.
