Ilia Topuria's wife, Georgina Badell, accuses the fighter of threats and violence.
According to Idman.Biz, Badell has faced difficulties in forming a defense of her rights.
The Spanish publication Divinity, citing journalist Manuel Marlaska, reports that Topuria's wife cannot find a lawyer willing to take on the criminal case process.
Earlier, Topuria released a statement denying all charges and claiming to have audio recordings, correspondence, and video evidence proving his innocence. The fighter also intends to file a counterclaim against Badell for alleged blackmail, falsification of evidence, and embezzlement.
The Spanish journalist notes that the situation is legally complicated because Topuria is actively preparing to defend his position in court. Therefore, lawyers are not interested in defending Badell's rights.
The date of a possible court hearing or details of the court claims have not yet been announced.
