The international tournament "Heydar Aliyev Cup-2026" for junior female boxers has ended in Baku. The Azerbaijani national team won 17 medals in the competition, which was attended by 8 countries.
İdman.Biz reports that Aysel Farajova (46 kg), Aydan Ismayilli (48 kg) and Sama Abbasova (66 kg) became the winners of the tournament in the U-17 team, coached by Ilkin Agayev.
Yegana Rahimova (48 kg), Fatima Mammadli (50 kg), Jamila Muradli (57 kg), Ramziya Mirzayeva (70 kg) won silver medals, Nasrin Abdullazade, Aysan Miriyeva (both 46 kg), Nurgul Ojagova (48 kg), Tunca Murshudova, Sima Ismayilova (both 50 kg), Alsu Yafarova (52 kg), Narmin Abdullazade, Ayan Novruzlu (both 54 kg), Emilia Beydullayeva (57 kg) and Aynur Valizade (63 kg) won bronze medals.
Thus, the Azerbaijani national team, which won 3 gold, 4 silver and 10 bronze medals, took 1st place in the team standings in the girls' boxing competition. The second place was taken by Georgia (3-1-1), and the third place was taken by a team of neutral athletes (AIN, 1-2-1).
It should be noted that the competition, which was attended by the national teams of Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Latvia, Estonia, Moldova and a team of neutral athletes, will end tomorrow with the boys' competition.
