The new president of the World Boxing Federation has been determined. Sport24.az reports that former Kazakh boxer Gennady Golovkin has been elected as the new head of the supreme body.
Representatives of 58 federations participated in the election held in Rome, the capital of Italy, and Golovkin received a unanimous vote.
His term as president will be 3 years.
It should be noted that the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, congratulated Golovkin on this occasion.
