French fighter Fares Ziam, nicknamed "Smiling Killer", has stated his intention to knock out Azerbaijani athlete Nazim Sadygov.
According to Idman.Biz, representatives of Azerbaijan and France will face each other on the night of December 6-7 at the "UFC 323" tournament in Las Vegas, USA.
On the eve of the fight, Ziam made a harsh statement to the French press.
"I have to knock him out. There is no other option. I'm going to show him such boxing techniques that he may have never seen them," Ziam said on the eve of the fight.
The French media also draw attention to the great danger coming from Sadygov in their announcements. In particular, "La Sueur" notes that the Azerbaijani fighter's record consists of 11 wins and 1 loss, and his fights rarely go to the judges' decision - he mainly wins ahead of schedule.
"UFC Fans" characterizes the confrontation as a clash between Ziam's methodical tempo control and Sadygov's aggressive style. It is stated that the main task of the French athlete is to control the distance, manage the rhythm and not allow the opponent to attack in a disciplined manner so that Sadygov can finish the fight ahead of schedule.
It should be noted that Fares Ziam last entered the octagon in February of this year. Nazim Sadygov fought twice in 2025 - he knocked out Brazilian Ismayel Bonfim in February, and defeated another Brazilian, Nikolos Motana, ahead of schedule in Baku in June.
