Eddie Hearn, the CEO of "Matchroom Boxing," spoke about the company's newest client, current UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall.
Idman.Biz reports that the Brit signed with Hearn's talent agency in early March.
"I almost fell off my chair when I looked in Tom Aspinall’s bag, because I know that if it was our business, he would earn 10 times more. His return will be monumental. As an organization, they need him. Don’t forget that he needs the UFC. He doesn’t really need the UFC right now, but they need him, because they need heavyweight stars," Hearn said in a video posted on Aspinall's official YouTube channel.
Aspinall remains a UFC fighter but will now receive support in negotiations with the league and other organizations. The Brit is recovering from an eye injury sustained in his fight against Ciryl Gane at UFC 321 in December, and the fight has reportedly been banned.
