UFC President Dana White has confirmed that the official announcement of the White House card, scheduled for June 14th, will be made during the UFC 326 broadcast on Saturday, June 13th.
He made the announcement at a pre-event press conference in Las Vegas. White also revealed the approximate number of fights that will be on the card.
"I'm looking at it right now. I see all six fights. We're planning on doing six fights, but we might add a seventh.
Every morning I wake up, somebody's sending me a 'news' story saying, 'This fight's going to be on it.' All these people on the internet are submitting every fight they can think of for the White House. I guess they're hoping if they throw enough shit at the wall, something will stick and they'll end up being right," MMA Fighting quotes White.
The White House tournament coincides with the 80th birthday of US President Donald Trump and the 250th anniversary of the country's independence. Fighters the media has linked to the event include Conor McGregor, Jon Jones, and Alex Pereira.
