UFC President Dana White has stated that it is still too early to determine Islam Makhachev's next opponent.
According to Idman.Biz, the president noted that the return of several top fighters will influence this decision.
"We need to see how everything plays out. We need to find out when Topuria is coming back. In an ideal world, he would fight one of the two guys that are fighting for the title right now. What about Chimaev – when is he coming back? There are many things that need to be figured out before we decide who fights who," White said in an interview with the "Complex News" YouTube channel.
Earlier, Merab Dvalishvili hinted that a fight between Makhachev and Ilia Topuria could happen sooner than expected.
