During a hearing related to an antitrust lawsuit against the promotion, UFC President Dana White announced that he has virtually stepped away from issues related to fighter contracting and negotiations.
According to Idman.Biz, White stated that Hunter Campbell, Sean Shelby and Mick Maynard handle all contract and introductory matters, and he is only involved in the final stage.
"My involvement in contracts is less than zero. You can't find a manager in the world who will say that I recently reached an agreement," MMA Fighting quotes White as saying.
A number of former UFC fighters have previously filed a lawsuit against the league. They claim that the UFC has a monopoly in the MMA market and uses this position to stifle competition and hide athletes' earnings.
