UFC President Dana White has stated that all disagreements between him and MMA fighter Merab Dvalishvili in the bantamweight division are now a thing of the past.
According to Idman.Biz, White said that the Georgian fighter, who aims to break records by fighting four times a year, now only deserves respect.
"The beginning of my relationship with Merab was difficult, but now I only have love and respect for this guy," Total Pro Sports quoted White as saying.
Dvalishvili lost to Petr Yan in the last rematch of UFC 323, but immediately after challenged the Russian athlete to a rematch and promised to make it even more spectacular. This led fans to believe that he was doing this to gain Dana White's favor.
White praised Dvalishvili's desire to put on an entertaining fight, which ultimately helped restore their relationship. No official announcements have been made yet regarding a possible third fight between Dvalishvili and Yan.
