Khamzat Chimaev announced his desire to change weight class after losing to Sean Strickland at UFC 328.
Idman.Biz reports that the former champion lost the UFC title in the middleweight division by judges' decision to his American opponent.
Chimaev stated that he no longer intends to compete in this weight:
"I want to move up in weight. I don't want to fight in this weight class anymore."
It is worth recalling that the UFC 328 mixed martial arts (MMA) tournament took place on May 10 in Newark, USA. The main event of the night was the title fight in the middleweight division between Hamzat Chimaev, representing the United Arab Emirates, and Sean Strickland of the USA. The five-round fight ended with Strickland's victory by judges' decision.
