Former three-time UFC title challenger, now analyst Chael Sonnen believes that the league should strip lightweight champion Ilia Topuria of his title.
Idman.Biz reports that Topuria had previously spoken about issues that forced him to postpone his title defense indefinitely.
"If we want to be soft on an undisputed champion, it's only if he misses fights due to illness or injury. But when Topuria tells us that he is not fighting for reasons that do not meet the criteria for illness or injury, he should be stripped of his title. I wouldn't want him to be stripped of his belt.
