Bilalhəbaşi Nəzərov, who participated in the "Strandja" international tournament held in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, considers the fight against the Armenian boxer in his first competition among adults as the most crucial moment of his career.
He stated this in an interview with "Report".
The boxer talked about his fights with his first opponents:
"My first opponent was an Irish athlete. He was the European champion among U-23s. But I didn't have much difficulty and won with a score of 5:0. I fought with an Armenian athlete in the 1/4 finals. It was one of the biggest, most responsible fights for me. I wanted to win a medal in my first competition among adults, and the opponent was Armenian. He was the European champion among adults. I had a double responsibility. Thank God, we prepared well with my coaches, developed tactics, and defeated the Armenian. Then I faced a Ukrainian athlete and beat him without difficulty."
The boxer explained the reason for his defeat in the final as follows:
"I lost to a Kazakh athlete with a score of 2:3 in the decisive fight. I had a slight physical deficiency. This was probably because it was my first competition among adults. I hope to try to achieve better results in the next competitions."
It should be noted that Bilalhəbaşi Nəzərov finished the "Strandja" international tournament with a silver medal.
