The U-17 European Youth Boxing Championship 1/4 final fights have started in Keinbaum, Germany.
Idman.Biz reports that 2 athletes of the Azerbaijani national team secured a place in the semifinals on the first day of the stage.
Gardash Rahimov (46 kg) faced Misteak Rama (Albania). The match ended with a 5:0 (30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27) victory for our boxer. He will face Rati Kharbedia (Georgia) in the 1/2 final.
Shukar Aliyev (75 kg) also won the 1/4 final fight. He was stronger than Yannik Muller (Germany) – 5:0 (29:28, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 29:28). Aliyev will fight Aleks Domjan (Hungary) in the semifinals.
The boxers who qualified for the semifinals have also secured at least a bronze medal for themselves.
It should be noted that 3 more of our boxers will compete in the 1/4 final fight at the European Championship.
