The Azerbaijani national team in Full Contact/Shinkyokushin style of the Azerbaijan Karate Federation participated in the European Championship held in Batumi, Georgia.
Idman.Biz reports that the team was represented by 24 athletes (13 adults and 11 juniors), 5 referees, and 6 coaches under the leadership of Allahverdi Rustamov, Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Karate Federation.
According to the results of the competition, Aligismat Hasanov (-70 kg) won a silver medal among adults. Salahat Hasanov (-80 kg) and Solmaz Zeynalli (-59 kg) won bronze medals.
Among juniors, Zamin Farajov (-75 kg) won the gold medal and became the European champion. Elmir Jabrayilov (-75 kg) and Nihat Imanov (-65 kg) won silver medals.
