Azerbaijani boxers will participate in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament, which will start on March 8 in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand.
"Report" reports that the press service of the Boxing Federation has released information about this.
Our country will be represented by 6 athletes in the license-based competition for the Youth Summer Olympic Games to be held in Senegal.
Elbrus Rzayev, the head coach of the boys' team, will give Ali Aliyev (50 kg), Nihat Gasimov (55 kg), Togrul Guliyev (60 kg) and Shahin Aslanov (65 kg) a chance in the tournament.
In the girls' competition, head coach Ilkin Agayev will rely on Gular Huseynova (48 kg) and Amina Taghiya (51 kg). According to the regulations of the competition, licenses will later be distributed by countries and continents.
It should be noted that the boxers' license competition will end on March 15.
