Two Azerbaijani boxers have started the U-23 European Championship held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, with a victory. Sport24.az reports with reference to the press service of the Boxing Federation that Ali Abdullayev (65 kg) faced Milan Petriman (Hungary) in the 1/16 finals.
The fight ended with a 5:0 (29:28, 29:28, 30:27, 30:27, 29:28) victory for our boxer. In his second match, Abdullayev will face Belge Kaanli from Turkey.
Nijat Alirzayev (70 kg) also qualified for the 1/8 finals. He was stronger than Arturs Vaisla (Latvia) at the start - 5:0 (30:26, 30:27, 29:28, 30:27, 30:26). Our boxer will test Camel Jemmali (France) in the next match.
Both of our representatives will enter the 1/8 final fight tomorrow.
It should be noted that the European Championship will end on November 29.
