Azerbaijani boxers Subhan Mammadov (50 kg) and Sabuhi Alizade (+90 kg) have qualified for the quarter-finals of the European Youth Boxing Championship (U-23) in Budapest.
According to Idman.Biz, both athletes secured their place in the semi-finals with confident victories.
Amin Mammadzade (55 kg) also entered the ring on the fourth day of the competition but was eliminated from the tournament after losing to his opponent.
11 boxers from Azerbaijan participated in the European Youth Championship. Seven of them have already been eliminated from the competition, while Mammadov and Alizade have the right to win medals at the continental championship.
