The "Strandja" international boxing tournament continues in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.

It was reported that 2 more athletes of the Azerbaijani national team won on the second day of the competition.
In the 55 kg category, Zidan Hunbatov fought Jirayr Sargsyan (Armenia) in the 1/8 finals. Our boxer did not give his Armenian opponent any chance and won by the unanimous decision of the judges – 5:0 (29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28). He will face Ukrainian Maksym Zimenko (Ukraine) in the next meeting. The fight will take place on February 27.
Malik Hasanov (65 kg) started the tournament with a victory. He defeated Giacomo Giannotti (Italy). Because the opponent was injured, our boxer was declared the winner in the second round – 4:0 (20:18, 19:19, 20:18, 20:18, 20:18). Hasanov will face Artur Saakyan (Armenia), who was exempted from the first stage, in the 1/8 finals on February 26.
It should be noted that the competition will end on March 1.
