The Azerbaijan Youth Boxing Championship will be held.
"Report" reports with reference to the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation that winners in 10 weight categories among boys and 5 weight categories among girls will be determined at the competition.
276 boxers (244 boys, 32 girls) from 58 teams representing clubs from various cities and regions of the republic, as well as sports societies, will participate in the championship. The opening ceremony of the competition will begin at 12:00, and the fights will begin at 12:30. The names of the winners will be announced on February 15.
The winners will be included in the national team and will represent our country at international competitions.
The supervisor of the U-19 Azerbaijan Championship will be Aleksandr Hamidov from Uzbekistan, and the head referee will be our compatriot Anar Babanli. In addition to local referees, neutral referees with experience in the Summer Olympic Games and world championships - Veronika Shuks (Hungary), Dmitri Meliss (Estonia), Michel Burigo Paulo (Brazil), Pavlov Pavel Petkov (Bulgaria), Guo Zhang (China) and Bekjon Yusupov (Uzbekistan) will also judge the fights.
It should be noted that the tournament, which will be organized at the Boxing Center, will start on February 9.
