The Azerbaijan Championship among young boxers will be held. According to Sport24.az, the competition will determine the winners in 10 weight categories among boys and 5 among girls.
276 boxers (244 boys, 32 girls) from 58 teams representing clubs from various cities and regions of the republic, as well as sports societies, will participate in the championship. The opening ceremony of the competition will begin at 12:00, and the fights will begin at 12:30. The names of the winners will be announced on February 15.
The prize-winners will be involved in the national team and will represent our country in international competitions.
The supervisor of the U-19 Azerbaijan Championship will be Alexander Hamidov from Uzbekistan, and the chief referee will be our compatriot Anar Babanli. In addition to local referees, neutral judges with experience in the Summer Olympic Games and world championships - Veronika Shuks (Hungary), Dmitri Meliss (Estonia), Michel Burigo Paulo (Brazil), Pavlov Pavel Petkov (Bulgaria), Go Zhan (China) and Bekjon Yusupov (Uzbekistan) will also manage the fights.
It should be noted that the tournament, which will be held at the Boxing Center, will start on February 9.
