Azerbaijani mixed martial artist Asef Chopurov achieved a major victory at the AIGA (Absolute International Grappling Association - an international promotion organizing professional grappling tournaments) tournament held in Baku.
İdman.Biz reports that his opponent was Kazakhstani Sergey Morozov, who previously competed in the UFC.
The match took place under grappling rules, and the Azerbaijani representative demonstrated his superiority early on. Chopurov applied an arm-triangle choke, suffocating Morozov and ending the fight prematurely.
Thus, Morozov, who returned to fighting after resuming his career, was defeated in the Baku test, while Chopurov once again confirmed his status.
