Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler Yusif Abdullayev won a gold medal at the U15 European Championships held in Samokov, Bulgaria.
Idman.Biz reports that our athlete, competing in the 38 kg weight category, faced Georgian representative Rezi Yobidze in the final.
Abdullayev defeated his opponent with a score of 10:0 in the decisive match, winning the title of European champion with a clear advantage.
It should be noted that Yusif also performed confidently on the way to the final. He defeated Ukrainian Ivan Vasilkov 10:0, Armenian representative Norayr Gevorgyan 11:0, and Belgian Mahammad Bisultanov 13:1.

Elman Ismayilov, competing in the 41 kg weight category, also qualified for the decisive match. He defeated Georgian representative Giorgi Kavelidze and Belarusian Yevgeni Latantsov by pin. In the semi-finals, Ismayilov defeated Armenian representative Tigran Aghajanyan 11:0. Our wrestler will face Bulgarian representative Simyon Velikov in the final.
In the 44 kg category, Mahammad Karimov defeated Polish representative Gabriel Mateyka 10:0 and Armenian representative Aleks Ghazaryan 3:2. He lost to Ukrainian Arsen Pijuk 3:5 in the semi-finals. Karimov will wrestle for a bronze medal.
Adem Guliyev, in the 52 kg category, became another representative who reached the final. He defeated Bulgarian representative Petro Karlangach 12:0, Armenian representative Narek Dallakyan 6:2, and Israeli Ron Brilman 10:0. Guliyev will face Badruddin Magomedov in the final.
In the 62 kg category, Yusif Huseynov defeated Turkish representative Yusuf Ayaz 13:0 and Armenian representative Mer Papikyan 8:6. He lost to Georgian representative Ioane Gavashelishvili 3:5 in the semi-finals and will compete for a bronze medal.
