A meeting of young wrestlers with famous athletes was organized in the sports hall of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Sports Organizations Association (AHITA).
Idman.Biz reports that Namig Abdullayev, gold medalist in freestyle wrestling at the XXVII Summer Olympic Games, Farid Mansurov, gold medalist in Greco-Roman wrestling at the XXVIII Summer Olympic Games, and Hasanaga Rzayev, head of the Sports Department of the National Olympic Committee, participated in the meeting.
The purpose of the meeting was to increase the motivation of young athletes, share Olympic experience with them, and promote a healthy lifestyle.
The Olympic champions who spoke talked about the development of sports in our country, the attention and care shown to this area by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of the National Olympic Committee, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and talked about their glorious sports path.
They emphasized that great success is achieved only through hard work, discipline, perseverance and love for the Motherland, and shared the pride created by their victories with the participants, and called on young people to always be purposeful and determined in their sports life.
During the meeting, young wrestlers asked the champions various questions and listened to their opinions about their professional sports careers.
