The Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA) has sanctioned wrestler Aslan Abakarov with a 36-month ban. Sport24.az reports that this was announced by the agency's press service.
It was reported that the wrestler's sample contained the presence of a prohibited substance or its metabolites or markers, and that the athlete used or attempted to use a prohibited substance or prohibited method.
The period of disqualification began to be calculated from February 7 and will end on February 7, 2028.
It should be noted that the 21-year-old wrestler won a bronze medal in the 97 kg weight category at the Azerbaijan Championship in December 2024.
