Nijat Yeylagaliyev (80 kg) repeated the same success by defeating Swede Jens Abrahamsson with a clear advantage (10:0).
In the last match of the day, Rihad Ibrahimli (110 kg) faced Bulgarian Denis Lazarov in the final. The representative of the Sumgayit wrestling school, who finished the first half with a minimal lead, did not allow his opponent to open his eyes after the break. Our compatriot won the title of European champion by winning with a "pin".
Thus, our national team started the continental championship with 1 gold and 2 bronze medals.
