Our wrestlers on the mat have advanced to the 1/8 finals at best. Their chances of winning a bronze medal will depend on the performance of their opponents.

Rashad Veysalov defeated Polish Ismail Erzanukaev 9:6, but lost to American Cayden James 2:13 in the 1/8 finals.

Said Pashayev defeated Algerian Abderrahmane Meziti 5:4, but lost to Russian David Cebishov (UWW) 3:6 in the 1/8 finals.
It should be noted that Hakim Tagiyev (1️1️0️ kg) won a ticket to the bronze medal match by defeating Armenian Laert Movsesyan 13:4 in the consolation match. Today, he will wrestle Bulgarian Stefan Stefanov in the decisive match.
