Another Azerbaijani wrestler has won a gold medal at the U-17 European Championship held in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia.
"Report" informs that on the third day of the competition, Greco-Roman wrestler Abdurrahman Huseynli (45 kg) faced Georgian Saba Abashidze in the final.
Our 15-year-old wrestler, who decided the fate of the meeting in the first half, became the European champion with a score of 9:0.
Elshad Abbasov (51 kg) lost to Hungarian Keve Kovacs with a score of 1:3 in the bronze medal match and finished in 5th place.
Ali Nazarov (60 kg) faced Armenian Hayk Manukyan in the final. Ali, who lost to his opponent with a score of 3:11, won the silver medal.
With this, our team finished the competition with 2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.
It should be noted that yesterday Rihad Ibrahimli (110 kg) became the European champion, and Gurban Majnunov (48 kg) and Nijat Yeylagaliyev (80 kg) took third place.
