The U-17 European Wrestling Championship held in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, will conclude today.
Idman.biz reports that four Azerbaijani freestyle wrestlers, who are preserving Azerbaijan's medal chances, will step onto the mat on the final day of the competition.
Hasan Hasanov (60 kg) and Said Pashayev (92 kg) have reached the final and will compete for gold medals.
Omar Usubov (45 kg) will compete for bronze, while Ramal Mirguseynov (51 kg) will continue his performance in the consolation round.
Currently, the Azerbaijani team has 9 medals - 4 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze. Rihad Ibrahimli (110 kg), Abdulrahman Huseynli (45 kg), Ravan Hasanzade (48 kg) and Ruslan Alizade (55 kg) became European champions. Ali Nazarov (60 kg) won silver, while Gurban Majnunov (48 kg), Nijat Yeylagaliyev (80 kg), Nazrin Ahmadli (46 kg) and Hakim Tagiyev (110 kg) won bronze medals.
