The U-15 European Wrestling Championship continues in Samokov, Bulgaria.
İdman.Biz reports that our female wrestler Ulviyya Musayeva (33 kg) won the gold medal of the tournament by defeating Turkish Yağmur Minaza with a complete advantage (11:0) in the final.
Our other female wrestler Madina Karimova (46 kg) defeated Karin Güler from Turkey with a "fall" in the bronze medal match.
Fikret Baxshaliyev, who competed in the 85 kg weight category in Greco-Roman wrestling, lost to Belarusian Nikola Osipova with a score of 2:9 in the bronze medal match.

Azerbaijan's Greco-Roman and female wrestlers have attracted attention with their successful results at the U-15 European Wrestling Championship held in Samokov, Bulgaria.
İdman.Biz reports that Fikret Baxshaliyev, who competed in the 85 kg weight category in Greco-Roman wrestling, defeated Croatian Stefan Čavrić with a complete advantage of 9:0 in the consolation match. After this result, the Azerbaijani representative qualified for the bronze medal match.
Madina Karimova, who competed in the 46 kg women's wrestling, also successfully passed the consolation stage. She maintained her chance for a bronze medal by defeating Russian Shanka Malchinova with a score of 5:2.
Ulviyya Musayeva reached the final in the 33 kg weight category of women's wrestling. The Azerbaijani wrestler defeated Ukrainian Viktoriya Pervachuk with a "fall" in the semi-final and qualified for the gold medal match.
Thus, the Azerbaijani national team will compete for one gold and two bronze medals in the decisive stage of the championship.
It should be noted that the competition covers May 20-24 and Azerbaijan is represented in three types of wrestling.
