Three of our U-15 wrestlers in the European Championship final, two for bronze medal

The U-15 European Wrestling Championship continues in Samokov, Bulgaria.

Idman.Biz reports that five members of the Azerbaijan U15 freestyle wrestling team will continue the fight today. Three of them will wrestle for gold and two for bronze medals.

Yusif Abdullayev, competing in the 38 kg weight category, has won three consecutive victories. He defeated Ukrainian Ivan Vasilkov 10:0, Armenian representative Norayr Gevorgyan 11:0, and Belgian Mahammad Bisultanov 13:1. Abdullayev will face Georgian representative Rezi Yobidze in the final.

Elman Ismayilov, competing in the 41 kg, also qualified for the decisive match. He defeated Georgian representative Giorgi Kavelidze and Belarusian Yevgeni Latantsov by pin. Ismayilov defeated Armenian representative Tigran Aghajanyan 11:0 in the semi-final. Our wrestler will face Bulgarian representative Simyon Velikov in the final.

In the 44 kg, Mahammad Karimov defeated Polish representative Gabriel Mateyka 10:0 and Armenian representative Aleks Ghazaryan 3:2. He lost to Ukrainian Arsen Pijuk 3:5 in the semi-final. Karimov will wrestle for the bronze medal.

Adem Guliyev, in the 52 kg, became another representative who reached the final. He defeated Bulgarian representative Petro Karlangach 12:0, Armenian representative Narek Dallakyan 6:2, and Israeli Ron Brilman 10:0. Guliyev will face Badruddin Magomedov in the final.

In the 62 kg, Yusif Huseynov defeated Turkish representative Yusuf Ayaz 13:0 and Armenian representative Mer Papikyan 8:6. He lost to Georgian representative Ioane Gavashilishvili 3:5 in the semi-final and will compete for the bronze medal.
