The U-20 European Wrestling Championship is being held in Caorle, Italy. Sport24.az reports that the first medalists of the continental championship have been determined.
In the Greco-Roman wrestling competition, the Azerbaijani team won 3 medals. All three of our representatives won silver.

Turan Dashdemirov faced Russian Ivan Solomin. Although the match ended with a score of 1:1, the opponent athlete was declared the winner due to a higher quality point.

Tural Ahmadov's decisive match was against Igor Punchenko (UWW). Our wrestler, who lost with a score of 1:9, was awarded the silver medal of the European Championship.

Davud Mammadov faced Anri Putkaradze (Georgia). He shared the same fate as his colleagues. Davud, who lost with a score of 1:3, took second place on the podium.
It should be noted that the European Championship will end on July 6.
