The U15 European Freestyle Wrestling Championship held in Italy has concluded.
Idman.biz reports that our national team became champion for the second time, winning 2 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze medals.
Our team, scoring 161 points, renewed its own record in terms of points. The highest score to date was recorded in 2023, when our team took 2nd place with 145 points. Azerbaijan surpassed Armenia, which took 2nd place in this competition, by 47 points. Ukraine took third place with 91 points.
It should be noted that Huseyn Rzazade (41 kg) and Elgun Kerimli (85 kg) of our national team took the highest step of the podium. Javanshir Suleymanov (38 kg), Ibrahim Hasanov (44 kg), Akbar Asgarov (48 kg), and Muhammad Hasanli (62 kg) won silver medals, while Khayal Shukurlu (68 kg) won a bronze medal.
