An international Greco-Roman wrestling tournament was held in Novosibirsk, Russia. Sport24.az reports that more than 200 athletes from 10 countries participated in the competition organized in memory of Alexander Aksyonov, Hero of the USSR.
Two members of the national team, who participated in the Memorial under the leadership of coaches Sabah Shariati and Zohrab Abbasov, climbed onto the podium. Rashad Mammadov (55 kg) became the champion by defeating all his opponents. Mahammad Ahmadiev (97 kg) won a bronze medal.
It should be noted that Habib Nurulu, a category I judge, ensured justice at the tournament.
