Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler Ibrahim Hasanov has reached the final of the U-17 World Championship in Baku in the 51kg weight category.
Idman.Biz reports that in the competition held at the National Gymnastics Arena, Ibrahim Hasanov won the first meeting with a score of 4:2 against Georgian representative Giorgi Narimanidze. The Azerbaijani wrestler defeated Indian representative Govind Govind 10:3 in the quarterfinals.
Hasanov won a 10:6 victory over Russian representative Islam Kurakhmaev in the semifinals, earning a spot in the final.
The gold medal match in the 51kg weight category will start today at 18:00. Ibrahim Hasanov will face Iranian representative Benyamin Vayvand in the final.
