Members of the Azerbaijani U-17 Greco-Roman wrestling team have achieved further victories at the European Championship held in Samakov, Bulgaria.
Idman.Biz reports that Zeka Yusubov, competing in the 80 kg weight category, defeated Russian Yegor Kuropiatnikov 7:6 to advance to the 1/4 finals.
Orkhan Habibli, competing at 65 kg, also secured a place in the 1/4 finals with a 7:1 victory over Bulgarian representative Antoan Tsvetanov.
Earlier, Omar Salmanov (48 kg) and Gurban Majnunov (55 kg) had also advanced to the 1/4 finals.
It should be noted that the U-17 European Championship will conclude on May 17.

Gurban Majnunov, competing at 55 kg, defeated Polish wrestler Jakub Skripczak with a clear advantage - 9:0. Our wrestler qualified for the 1/8 finals.
Zeka Yusubov, competing in the 80 kg weight category, also surpassed Romanian representative Robert Kukiurea in the same way with a clear advantage - 8:0. He also advanced to the 1/8 finals.
