Today, five Azerbaijani freestyle wrestlers will take to the mat at the European Championship in Tirana, the capital of Albania.
İdman.Biz reports that Nureddin Novruzov (61 kg), Turan Bayramov (74 kg), Arseni Cioyev (86 kg), Ali Tsokayev (92 kg), and Giorgi Meshvildishvili (125 kg) will join the competition.
It is worth recalling that Greco-Roman wrestlers Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg) and Gurban Gurbanov (82 kg) won gold medals, while Rashad Mammadov (55 kg), Nihat Mammadli (60 kg), and Islam Abbasov (87 kg) won bronze medals. The national Greco-Roman wrestling team became the first in the team standings. Among female wrestlers, Jala Aliyeva (57 kg) and Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg) won bronze medals.
It should be noted that the European Championship will end on April 26.
