Despite a difficult childhood, Dunia Sibomana, a wrestler from the Democratic Republic of Congo, has become one of the most promising young athletes.
According to İdman.Biz, at the age of six, he was attacked by a group of chimpanzees in a national park. As a result of the tragedy, Sibomana suffered severe facial injuries, and his brother and cousin were killed.
As a result of the attack, Sibomana faced isolation, but his life changed after moving to the United States as part of a charity program. There, he underwent more than ten complex operations, restoring part of his face.
After being adopted, Dunia took up freestyle wrestling and achieved significant success. In a short time, he won two gold medals at the African Championships - one among juniors and one among adults.
Today, the 18-year-old athlete continues to train and speaks openly about his past, setting an example of resilience and perseverance.
