Turan Bayramov (74 kg) lost to American David Carr with a score of 3:5 in the 1/8 finals. Our other representative in this weight, Magomed-Bashir Khaniyev, won because Kazakh Alibek Abdikassimov did not enter the carpet, and defeated Alibek's compatriot Yeldos Kuanişbaya ahead of time - 13:2. Khaniyev, who defeated Bahraini Magomedrasul Asluyev 4:2 in the semi-final, lost to Japanese Kоtа Takahashi (0:4) in the decisive match and won a silver medal.
Arseniy Djioyev (86 kg) advanced to the 1/4 finals without sweating because Georgian Tornike Samkharadze was injured.
