Our women's volleyball team played two friendly matches against Latvia in Baku as part of the preparation for the European Championship.
Sport.Biz reports that the Azerbaijani team won both matches held at the GYM Volleyball Center, defeating the opponent 3:2 in the first game and 3:0 in the second.
The matches were also watched by the leadership of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation.
Note that the games of group C of the European Championship will be held in Baku. The Azerbaijani team will face the teams of Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Romania, and Spain in the group stage.
The games of group C will be held at the National Gymnastics Arena from August 21 to 28.
