"The Azerbaijani women's volleyball team did its best to take first place at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games." Sport24.az reports that this was said by the national team's attacker Margarita Stepanenko in a statement to the press service of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation.
She said that the competition was an experience for young volleyball players:
"I congratulate our team on winning the silver medal. Like others, we did our best to take first place, but it didn't work out, we won a silver medal. We also have young players in our team, and this competition was a great experience for them. I believe that we will achieve better results in the future."
It should be noted that the team led by Faig Garayev lost to the Turkish national team with a score of 0:3 in the final of the VI Islamic Solidarity Games.
