Four-time "Grand Slam" champion and world number two Yannik Sinner will not compete for the Italian team in the Davis Cup final.
Idman.Biz reports that Italy is the current champion of the Davis Cup, and Sinner played a major role in this achievement.
"Sinner has not confirmed his participation in the Davis Cup. The Davis Cup has been and always will be his home, and I am sure that he will return to the team soon. In the meantime, I have a group ready to fight for the blue shirt and give everything. I know these guys and I am sure that the future will bring us great success," said Filippo Volandri, captain of the Italian Davis Cup team.
The Italian national team will be represented in the competition by Lorenzo Musetti (eighth in the ranking), Flavio Cobolli (22), Matteo Berrettini (59), Simone Bolelli (14th in doubles) and Andrea Vavassori (15th in doubles).
