Yannik Sinner, the four-time Grand Slam tournament winner and world number one, has reacted to the protest organized by tennis players before "Roland Garros".
İdman.Biz reports that tennis players have decided to leave press conferences held on media day after 15 minutes in order to express their dissatisfaction with the low prize money at Grand Slam tournaments.
Sinner stated that this action was not directed against journalists:
"I think a lot of players are doing this. It's not against the journalists or anyone here. We are happy to fulfill our obligations and answer questions. We are just trying to protect the opportunity to express our position.
We have been waiting for some answers to our questions for a year, so now we are trying to do something. But I say again - this is not against you. You are doing your job here, and we are doing what is required of us".
