Four-time Grand Slam champion, Italian tennis player Yannik Sinner will officially become the world's number one again today.
Idman.Biz reports that after his victory at the Masters tournament in Paris, he surpassed six-time Grand Slam winner Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz in the ranking.
In the final of the tournament, Sinner defeated the 10th ranked Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime with a score of 6:4, 7:6 (7:4). This is Sinner's 23rd title in his career and 5th of the current season.
He also became champion this year at the Vienna, Beijing, Wimbledon and "Australian Open" tournaments.
It should be noted that Sinner dropped to second place in the ranking because he could not defend his title at the "US Open".
