In the women's competition, Iga Swiatek (Poland) and Belinda Bencic (Switzerland) advanced to the next stage. The Polish athlete easily defeated her Russian colleague - 6:2, 7:5. Another representative of Russia, Mirra Andreeva, lost to Bencic in a tense fight - 6:7 (3:7), 6:7 (2:7).
