The Women's Tennis Association (WTA) has announced the appointment of American Valerie Camillo as the new president of the organization.
According to Idman.Biz, Camillo will replace her compatriot Steve Simon, who led the WTA for ten years, and will begin her duties on November 17, 2025.
"She will lead the next phase of growth for women’s professional tennis. Her appointment comes at a time of accelerated growth and opportunity. Building on the WTA’s strong foundation, Camillo will collaborate with players, tournament organizers and partners across the sports and entertainment landscape to enhance the athlete experience, grow the international fan base and strengthen the commercial future of women’s tennis," the press release said.
