Members of the Russian national team, Ekaterina Drozdova and Amina Ilimbetova, the winners of the team table tennis competitions at the III CIS Games, said they were satisfied with Azerbaijani cuisine in Gabala.
Ifman.biz reports that Russian guests said that they especially value Azerbaijani baklava.
"We are fed excellently here, everything is very tasty. We are crazy about baklava," Drozdova admitted.
She said that Azerbaijan is a hospitable country and they want to see many places here: "This will only be possible after the competitions. Now we are completely focused on the tournament."
Ilimbetova added that baklava will not harm their weight gain so much: "Can we gain weight from baklava? We are not afraid of this, because we work hard in training. It is possible for us to eat it."
The head coach of the Russian men's team, Yuri Ryzhov, also shared his impressions: "We were received very well, we are staying in a magnificent hotel, the food is excellent. There are no problems with transportation, we are taken from the hotel to the arena and back on time. The staff at the hotel and sports facilities are very friendly. We like everything very much."
It should be noted that on September 27, Drozdova, Ilimbetova and Zlata Terekhova won gold medals by defeating the Azerbaijani team in the final.
