Azerbaijani table tennis players put up a worthy fight in the semi-finals of the mixed doubles tournament held within the framework of the III CIS Games.
According to a staff member of "Report" who was sent to Gabala, this was stated by Amina Ilimbetova, a member of the Russian national team, in her statement to journalists.
She emphasized that Azerbaijani table tennis players are strong:
"The match was quite difficult. We were behind in the score in the third set. It was very difficult to catch up, but we pulled ourselves together. The rivals from Azerbaijan put up a very worthy fight, they play strongly."
"I like everything very much in Azerbaijan. It is a friendly nation, there is good organization, everything is going great."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team stopped fighting in the semi-finals, losing to Russia. The table tennis competitions will end on September 29.
