The Azerbaijani mixed doubles team in table tennis was well tactically prepared against Russia.
According to the information from the employee of "Report", who was sent to Gabala, this was stated by Yevgeny Vasikov, a member of the Russian national team, in a statement to journalists after the semi-final match.
He said that the meeting was difficult:
"The match was very difficult because we lost 2:7 in the third set. The couple from Azerbaijan were very well prepared for the match. Apparently, they watched how my teammate and I played in mixed doubles. They were very well prepared tactically and mentally, but we were able to turn this match around."
He believes they will show good tennis in the final:
"We will play with our teammates in the final. There are two Russian couples. We hope we will show beautiful tennis."
It should be noted that Russia, which defeated the Azerbaijani national team in the match between mixed doubles teams, advanced to the final. The table tennis competitions will end tomorrow.
