Czech tennis player Petra Kvitova played her last match at Wimbledon Open 2025.
İdman.biz reports that she announced she would end her professional career this year.
The 35-year-old tennis player lost to her American counterpart in the preliminary stage of the tournament with scores of 3:6 and 1:6. After the game, Kvitova gave a farewell speech: "Wimbledon is full of the best memories. I never dreamed of winning here. Instead, I became a champion twice. I thank my family for supporting me."
Note that Petra has twice won the Grand Slam held in London in 2011 and 2014.
